Message form Chairman

It gives me immense pleasure in writing a few words with the hope that it will encourage the outgoing students of the department of Zoology, Rajshahi Univeristy.

Zoology is concerned with animals that live in the wood, land, marsh, bog or river that creep on the ground or fly in the air. Zoology teaching has turned from mostly descriptive i.e. morphology, anatomy, taxonomy, embryology etc. towards the more experimental aspects which include a study of ecology, entomology, cytology, genetics, ornithology, gerentology etc.

The students of M. Sc. (final year) class are going to publish a “Souvenir” for the first time not only in the Departiment of Zoology, but also probably in the Rajshahi University. The token will memorize the activities of the students during their study in this university and indeed they deserve high appreciation for such endeavour. They had inquisitiness all along for learning, diligent, methodical and maintained discipline.

I wish their success in every walk of life and I charge that they up hold the diginity and prestige of this department as long as they live. They should remember that Zoology, the science of animal life maintains the civilization of the world.
